The Cabin days of July

We went to the cabin several times this summer, but it seems we can never get enough. In July we were fortunate to go over to Bigfork a couple of times.  The fourth of July we spent two nights there. It was fun and relaxing time.  The kids loved it all, the boat, fishing, cooking on the grill, card games, and the beauty.
on one occasion we took the boat as far as we could up the river.  The water was really high for that time of year.  We stopped and ventured ashore at what Ben calls the hippie cabins.  It was imagine what the places would have been like in the old days. It seems as though someone was trying to make a go at farming or ranching. Looking back on the picture we took, helped me realize that I have such a blessed family. We have made some great memories.
Great Papa and Eli.  It was fun to stop there and chat.

In the Boat.
The kids just love the boat.  We spent a lot of time riding up the river and out in the Lake.  We checked out the place where Ben used to take swim lessons, went out swimming in the lake. We also went to picnic island and chased some birds that would dip in the water whenever we got close to them. Then we would try to guess where they were going to come up.  They would stay under the water for at least a minute. It is so beautiful near the cabin. It is also so neat to see the wildlife.

Views that I took when we were out on the river.

Check out those eyelashes.  Could help but to take a picture.

We took the boat as far as we could up the river. At one point we got out and looked at some old run down cabins.  Ben is holding an old hand drill

There was several old pieces of farm equipment. It fascinating to see how they might have worked.

Family picture time.  To bad there blurry. Next time I catch it with my better camera.

A picture from the cabin looking up river.
A picture looking out to the lake.

Ready for church.

On the way home we took a little detour to Hungry Horse Dam.  It is an amazing structure so large.  We didn't take a tour or anything, but were able to get out and stretch our legs. Love the beautiful mountains and trees.

At seven and a half months.

Loving Eli's pose.

Family Picture time.  The random guy that we got to take these pictures was a pretty good photographer. My camera died just after he took this one.  Too bad he couldn't have grabbed a couple of more shots.

We are back. This time on for one night, but we enjoyed it just as much.

Veiw of the cabin from the water.
