Jedidiah Smith Wilderness

Our family went hiking this last Thursday. It was so great to get out as a family and go hiking. We did about three miles round trip. We are kind of working into the longer miles a little at a time. We plan to do five miles all at once. The pack that I used to carry Lydia is wonderful. It was a birthday present from her Grandparents. Thank you so much. Lydia enjoys being outside. It has been fun to go places we couldn't go before.

As of Late

Lydia has been standing without any helps. She also took several steps in a row. She now blows on her food to cool it. She likes to eat with a fork and spoon. She also knows what a dogs says. It is so fun to hear her bark like a dog. In the past day she has started to know what a dog says. This morning she grabbed the remote and pointed it at the TV, I turned on Clifford the big red dog for her. This was the first time I let her watch TV. It doesn't hold her attention very long. Needless to say it was fun to let her watch Clifford. She kept barking at the TV. It was so cute. She is getting so smart.

Montana

In Montana we spent a day and a night up at the cabin. Ben's parents came up on one of the evenings. They went swimming with us and then had dinner. It is amazingly beautiful by the cabin. We were also able to go fishing. Lydia went with ua nd we stayed on the boat for about four hours. She even enjoyed a nap while we were out on the river. We also went on a little hike. Lydia got a new hiking backpack for her birthday from her Dalton Grandparents.

Vacation

It has been a long time since I have blogged. I think my brain and energy to blog went with me on vacation. I came home but it didn't. Oh Well! Here I go, to try again. I not sure how to catch everyone up on all that has happened.

In July Lydia and I took a two week vacation. We went to Post Falls first and the Ben met us so that we could go over to Montana. It was so much fun to see everyone. All the family got to know Lydia better and she got to know them. It was fun to show her off. We are so proud of her and she is so much fun.

In Post Falls we went swimming almost everyday. One day we played in the sprinklers instead. Lydia enjoys the water so much that it is so much fun to take her swimming.
