Yesterday was  such a nice day.  It got up into the fifties.  I took Lydia outside in her new coat.  It was fun to see her enjoying the weather

New Outfits

This fun purple shirt was given to Lydia by her Aunt Lauren.  It works, for now, as a dress or long shirt it is just darling on her and it fun to put the leggings and white shirt underneath for warmth.

Lydia wanted to try on my shoes.  She didn't  keep them on very long because they were to heavy for her to lift her feet.  The cute outfit  was given to her by Great Grandma Dalton.

This outfit is also from Great Grandma Dalton.  She posed for this picture and then wanted to see it on the camera after I took it.  She is getting so smart.
In her new cloths Lydia looks all grown up.  I am definitely the mother of a toddler and not a baby.  It is amazing how fast time flies.

OOoh, Ow and Meow

When I first introduce Lydia to the sound a cat makes, I said,  "Meow." She picked up pretty fast.  Then all the sudden stopped saying the cat sound.  I was wondering why until it hit me today.  I realized that I also taught her ooh when someone in a book is sad.  She makes that sound when she sees a clown that is sad in her circus book.   I also taught her ouch or ow when she tries to pull my hair.  She has a pair of cat socks and today she was saying a mix between all three.  It is really cute because it ends up sounding like a sad, sick cat. What do you know.  I guess the sound that the cat makes is somewhat sad.

Two Little Faires

On Friday the day before Halloween we had a Church party. I had made cupcakes for it and Lydia had been asking for them all day. As you can see in some of the pictures she has chocolate all over her face and shirt. She finally got her cupcake. Her friend Katie was a fairy too. Jill, her mom, and I made the fairy skirts and had so much fun dressing them up as fairy look a likes.
Lydia had fun at the party. She kept be busy by chasing her all around the room. She also loved the decorations. She really liked a paper Frankenstein that was hanging up in the entry way to the party. She would run back and forth to it and laugh and want to be held up to it. It turned out to be a very fun Halloween. She looked so cute from the back with her wings.

Toys, Who Needs Them

This is what Lydia uses for entertainment. She like to play with the pans and towels. Then she also likes this trash can. Don't worry its clean. I don't think I have ever used it for trash. So this year for Christmas I think I we will just get her a bigger trash can . Just kidding.

Fun in the Leaves

Lydia and I went out to savor the cool fresh air and the beautiful fall leaves. She kept trying to step off the sidewalk. She thinks that she is big enough to walk down the stairs by herself. Yikes. She is so much fun. She is always happy. What a blessing!

At the Park

We went to the park with Lydia's friend Katie and my friend Jill. We had so much fun going down the slides. I told Lydia that she could take her ball so she went and got it and carried it around with her as if it was her friend. She wanted to swing with it and slide with it. It was so cute.

O' What Do You Do In the Winter Time?

Lydia walks around with her bathing suit all day. So this morning I put her in the tub with it on her.
We also went outside for a little bit. It was wonderfully sunny out but the wind was a down side.
After coming inside she had wonderful hat hair.

Fall or Winter

Eating cherrios

The cold can't keep Lydia inside. She just loves being outside. She gets a little grumpy if we don't go outside for a little while each day. This jacket is adorable. She knows that as soon as she gets her coat and hat on then we are headed out the door.

Those Warmer Days

Well lately it has been quite cold here. The last three days. The temperature dropped 30 degrees over night. It has been a drastic change for us because we are so used to spending most of our days outside. Lydia is still so happy and teaches me that smiles can cheer up the best of us and that no matter what we can always find something to be happy about. These pictures are of us when we have seen warmer days.

Happy Birthday Lydia!!!!

Her candle was a big number one. She wanted to touch the flame but couldn't quite understand how to blow it out.

Tired Lydia

Lydia turned one on the 22nd of September. On the day of her birthday she had seven teeth but two days later two more broke through. She is getting in her molars, so soon she will have eleven. We are so proud of her. She learns so much and is into everything. She knows how to say please, finished/done, more, food/eat, and milk in sign language. She also knows what a dog, chicken and sheep says. She love reading books and playing outside. She enjoys going on walks and music. She already strums the guitar beautifully. She can give hugs but she knows them as squeezes. She makes a squishing sound when you hug her.
On her birthday we made her a cake but unusually by six thirty she was tired. By the time that we lit the candle she wasn't very interested in blowing it out. She just wanted to eat the cake, and she did.
I wrapped her present up in wrapping paper that has a dog print on it. She kept barking at it. She probably wouldn't have known to rip the wrapping paper off if she hadn't seen me wrap it. We gave her a baby doll. She loves to carry her baby around and give it hugs. We also take it with us when we go on walks and she holds her hand. She is sure growing up. She is so smart. We could be happier with a great girl like Lydia.

Anxious Ducks

The ducks at one moment got really close. They even nipped at Lydias feet. Thanks goodness that Lydia is a little dare devil or else she would be scared of ducks for life. She usually doesn't eat bread. I guess it is only when she has to choose between her or the ducks.

What a Fun Day

Today we went and feed the ducks at Nature Park.

Then we went and play at the splash park.

Lydia had so much fun at both. She is so fun because of the way she shows her excitement. It helps me be enthusiastic especially because I know she loves what we are doing.
