We had an Erickson Family Reunion the weekend of the 22nd of May.  It was a blast.  Lydia and I went up on Monday before the reunion and stayed through the next week.  It was fun for Lydia to get to know her aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She also met Joseph whom she has never seen before because he just returned from his mission from the Czech-Republic.  All the siblings were able to make it.  It was so much fun to see my sisters,  whom I haven't seen in a while.  I am not sure when I will see them again either.  After the reunion Ben flew up and spent some time with my brothers and family.  He has so much fun with them.  He plays basketball and football and completely wears himself out.   We also were able to see Ben's parents.  They came over for the afternoon on Thursday.  It was fun to see them and for Lydia to recognize them from the webcam chats.

Twin Falls.

On your way down the canyon there is a waterfall.  I tried to take a picture from the bottom.  You can barely see it but it was a beautiful that night.

We had a cookout that night at the park.

Lydia and I are here at the table enjoying a fruit salad, pasta salad and hot dogs.

Funny Face

After dinner we went on a little walk to the bridge.

There were some neat waterfalls along the way.

Lydia having fun in the pack.

Another neat waterfall
The bridge. You cross this to get into the Twin Falls.  People also jump off this bridge with parachutes.

Slide, Slide

Lydia will point  at her cheeks when you say, "Where is your smile?"

Lydia absolutely loves the slide.  She can go down and down over and over again.  Gives me quite a work out.  She enjoys the swings equally.  On Sunday we went to the park as a family.  With the two of us, we were able to give her lots of slide rides.  We also took a nice walk around the park.  It was new to us.  It is called Rock Creek Park.  It  has a little creek running through it and people actually fish in it.  I hope to plan an activity with our sunbeam class and take them fishing, but that might be a little ambitious.  I will have to figure out the details.  It is not too far out of town, so it is kind of unusual setting.  There are businesses surrounding it.  It would be a fun place for a quick get a way hot do roast.  Anyone want to get together?

We had a fun get a way to Les and Cameron's in Ogden.  We realized we are only about two and half hours away. It was so fun to see Aubrey she is growing so much.  Lydia enjoyed swimming and playing on two different playgrounds.  She liked coloring and also getting together with the Aunts and Uncles and Cousins.
It was fun for us to relax and just enjoy the freedom from our obligations.

Toe nails and Sun Shine

It was a warm sun shinny Sunday.  It been in the 70's the past couple days. We wore our sandals to church.   Last night I thought I would paint my finger nails. I have probably painted them a total of five times since Lydia has been born.  She already knows what the polish is for and sat still for me while I painted her nails. There is nothing like little toe nails and finger nails with polish.  It is so cute to me.  She loves to show them off.  Her toes were so cute with her sandals. She likes clothes and my makeup but she is not into princesses yet.  I am sure down the road.  I just let her be a girl and get dressed up probably because I like that too.  She will still be wild with the boys though especially her cousins.  She is pretty tough too.  It is so fun to watch and play with her as she grows up.

She started singing more songs.  She sings the chorus of " I am a Child of God."  She has a hard time in nursery but she likes the singing time.  She likes to play in the fridge.  This gets a bit tiresome, but it is cute when she opens it and says,  " Umm " like she is trying to decide what to choose. She also started saying num for yummy when she likes certain foods.  She loves anything to do with Grandpa and Grandma.  (I know a lot of the reason is cause we video call Grandma and Grandpa Dalton). I will just say," Let's take a picture for Grandma"  or lets do this or that for Grandma and she will quickly obey.  I don't do that too often, but she love her grandparents.  When we were walking outside today to go to church and she said go and grandma.  I think she wanted to go and see grandma.  We will have to visit all her grandmas.

We are having.........

A boy!! We are excited!  It will be an adventure to have a little boy and try to keep up with two children.  Lydia loves babies.  She is always pretending things about babies.  She says the word baby several times a day.  She likes to rock and dress her baby dolls.   She will be a  good little helper.

Happy Easter!!

We went on a small easter egg hunt.   Lydia enjoyed finding the eggs and towards the end picked out some I didn't even see.

What a cute face. Huh?

Going for the egg.

Walking towards Dad.

Conference weekend was great.  We enjoyed the talks.  Lydia  can pick out the prophet and enjoyed the music. She would dance to the music. She knew that the speakers were talking and I think that she could tell that we were listening. Towards the end of the Saturday, about halfway through the last sessions, she kept folding her arms wanting to say the prayer and be done.  She is so smart.  She likes to say amen and will often listen to the prayers to know when the end is coming.  It was so neat to hear all the talks on parenthood and motherhood.   It renewed the will for me to do better and to keep a perspective on building an eternal family.

In the last week or so she has learned who Curious George is. When counting to ten she will say the number nine. She right now likes the letter W, and will say it as I sing the ABC's.  She also knows the letter O and E. She is so much fun and keeps us busy and working to be better everyday.

This Thursday we are so excited to find out if we are having a boy or girl.  It will be fun to know what we are having as long as he or she corporates.
