Yesterday was  such a nice day.  It got up into the fifties.  I took Lydia outside in her new coat.  It was fun to see her enjoying the weather

New Outfits

This fun purple shirt was given to Lydia by her Aunt Lauren.  It works, for now, as a dress or long shirt it is just darling on her and it fun to put the leggings and white shirt underneath for warmth.

Lydia wanted to try on my shoes.  She didn't  keep them on very long because they were to heavy for her to lift her feet.  The cute outfit  was given to her by Great Grandma Dalton.

This outfit is also from Great Grandma Dalton.  She posed for this picture and then wanted to see it on the camera after I took it.  She is getting so smart.
In her new cloths Lydia looks all grown up.  I am definitely the mother of a toddler and not a baby.  It is amazing how fast time flies.

OOoh, Ow and Meow

When I first introduce Lydia to the sound a cat makes, I said,  "Meow." She picked up pretty fast.  Then all the sudden stopped saying the cat sound.  I was wondering why until it hit me today.  I realized that I also taught her ooh when someone in a book is sad.  She makes that sound when she sees a clown that is sad in her circus book.   I also taught her ouch or ow when she tries to pull my hair.  She has a pair of cat socks and today she was saying a mix between all three.  It is really cute because it ends up sounding like a sad, sick cat. What do you know.  I guess the sound that the cat makes is somewhat sad.

Two Little Faires

On Friday the day before Halloween we had a Church party. I had made cupcakes for it and Lydia had been asking for them all day. As you can see in some of the pictures she has chocolate all over her face and shirt. She finally got her cupcake. Her friend Katie was a fairy too. Jill, her mom, and I made the fairy skirts and had so much fun dressing them up as fairy look a likes.
Lydia had fun at the party. She kept be busy by chasing her all around the room. She also loved the decorations. She really liked a paper Frankenstein that was hanging up in the entry way to the party. She would run back and forth to it and laugh and want to be held up to it. It turned out to be a very fun Halloween. She looked so cute from the back with her wings.
