Growing Bigger and Bigger

My kids are growing up so much.  Lydia will often say that Eli is growing bigger and bigger. They both are changing. I guess you can't stop time. Eli has been  a great.  When he is hungry he is hungry but other than that he is patient and can sleep through almost any noise.

Here he is deep in thought.

Here is Lydia with her new hair due.  We did pigtails for the first time.

This expression is so cute even though the lighting is not very good.

My sister came for a couple of days.  It was so much fun. She spoiled us with good food and fun presents.  We also got to do sister things like chick flick movies and long analytical conversations and clearance shopping at target.  We found shirts and Capri's all under five dollars a piece.  It was nice to have her here to give me a big boost.  I was able to take naps and work on projects. Ben and I also got to go on a date.  We went Frisbee golfing on Thursday morning.  Which was so nice to get out.  Thanks Chrystal.

After a long day of shopping.  All three kids fell asleep.
Zayne growing up.  He is a year and walking everywhere.  This where Eli will be next year. Crazy.

The following days!!!

After my mom left Ben had a day off.   He was able to spend so much appreciated time with us. Lydia was also able to spend so one on one time with her dad.  She went to the library and the park and the whole nine yards.  the next day Ben had to go back to work so Lydia has been over at a few friends' houses playing.  I think she has enjoyed the time to get out  and play.

One evening we had ice cream cones and she was posing for the camera.  This is what she would do when you asked her to smile.

This is the first time she really wanted to hold Eli. There is her cheese grin again.

He likes to sleep with his hands up by his face and his legs bent as far as they can go.
They are hard to bend straight for diaper changes.

"Too cute!" A phrase Lydia will often say.

Sweet Visitors.

Grandma and Papa came to visit Lydia was so excited all day.  When they go here we had a wonderful dinner with them.   After dinner everyone went to look at the sights while Eli and I took a nap.  We didn't get enough pictures.  I really feel bad that I never got one of Papa and Eli.  Hopefully that can happen sooner than  later.  It was so much fun to see them.  Short but sweet.  Such fun memories.

Lydia got a big surprise a panda bear.  It was once Ben's bear.  She loved it.

He is Here!!!

Grandma finally got to see him.  My mom came on Thursday the 25th and had to leave on the first.  She was able to watch Lydia the whole day and night while I was in the hospital and then she had to leave the next morning.  It was so neat the she could meet Eli before returning home. Thanks mom!

When the Cousins come to play

These are some fun pictures of us playing at the park and walking behind the waterfall.  It was so fun to spends some time with Lindsey, Ben's sister, and Adam and their family.  It was fun to see Montanna and Lydia interact.   They both really like to go to the park and swing.

I Love to See the Temple

My friend, Melody and I, went with our kids to the temple grounds yesterday.  It was beautiful to see the temple.  Lydia and Emma enjoyed being together.  They can tell what a wonderful place it is.  Lydia loves to sing the song," I love to see the temple" and she loved all the water features and flowers that they have growing.

Swimming Skills

Lydia Jumping in the Pool

It took her a couple of tries to get it but once she did she did awesome.

I can't help but be so proud of her.

In the last week Lydia's swimming skills have accelerated to the point now where she will jump in without any help.  She love to jump in and we have to be cautious now because I am sure she would jump in without us looking. My friend, Melody, bought a learning life-jacket for her daughter.  It has inserts that you can pull out as your child gets better with swimming.  She let Lydia try today.  She started swimming  across the pool.   She knew that she was swimming all by herself and she thought it was the best thing ever.  Although she did get tired fast.  I am so proud of her.  She sure is growing up so much.  She has always loved the water. I also had a friend and her five kids come over and swim.  I think it helped that there were other kids that were swimming without their mom.  Lydia wanted to be big just like them.

She has now been potty trained for the last two and half weeks.  She sometimes has problems with making #2 in the toilet and she wakes up in the middle of the night and I help her go to the bathroom. It works out because I usually wake up to go anyway.

Here are few fun pictures of her trying on her Dad's shoes.

She put on the shoes and hat all by herself and the pose is completely genuine too.

We had a busy day.  We also went to lunch in the park.  Lydia love the chocolate milk.  Tonight during prayer time she wanted to thank Heavenly Father for the chocolate milk that she had had earlier.  She gave be the biggest smile after we did that.

Chocolate Milk

We often go to the park with Emma. Lydia and Emma play so well together. The don't really talk much but somehow they communicate and they love to get together.
